A loop of time in which I want to get myself entangled for ever

If someone asks me about one experience I would cherish for life, I would say about a football match I played almost 2 years ago with my school friends. I have played countless numbers of football matches but this particular day has a special space in my heart as that match was played on the last day of our college life.

That play was special in the sense that, that was the only play in my life I played not to win but to enjoy with my friends to the fullest. Somewhere I knew that after passing college all of us would find it difficult to gather together as everyone would become busy with their varsity life.

To enjoy the last football match of our college life, we booked a ground for that day. Usually, we book the slot for one and a half hours. But that day we booked it for three hours. We were a group of fifteen friends. After reaching the ground we decided to play a tournament between three teams where each team will consist of five players. I along with my two other friends were chosen as the captains. Then we recruited four players each in our team according to our preferences. I chose my four friends Samin, Srabon, Shafi, and Rohan to play in my team.

We decided to play at least one match with each of the teams. The first to win three matches of the three teams was to win the finals. We played our first match against the team of my friend Mahin. That was undoubtedly a tough match to play. I scored two goals and did one assist in that match. Fortunately, we were able to defeat them by 3-2 goals. That match was very intense and none of the team were willing to give up.

After winning the first match we were a little relieved knowing that we just had to win two more matches to win the trophy. Our second match was with the team of my friend Rahat. His teams specialty was that they had a pretty solid defense lineup as two of my friends Nibir and Labib were in that team. They were very experienced in the defensive tactics. We could only score two goals in that match. But we didn’t let the ball cross our net even for once. Thus we were able to win the second match as well.

We had to play our final match with Mahin’s team. That was one of the most intense matches I had ever played. We were on equal footing whether it was the matter of possession or shooting on target. For most of the time, the score was 0 for both of the teams. Somehow just before the finishing time my friend Samin scored an amazing goal and won the trophy for us. At that time our joy knew no bounds. We started to run towards Samin and lifted him. We celebrated our victory with a victory dance.

Whenever I pass by any football ground and see kids playing football with their friends, I get a little sad recalling these memories. I wish I could play this beautiful game of football with my friends one more time. Whenever I pass by any football ground and see kids playing football with their friends, I get a little sad recalling these memories.
